Library Card Sign-Up Month: September - A library card hits all the right notes! Celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month with us by signing up for a library card or updating your current card, and be entered for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Broadway Theater in Downtown Rock Springs.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten: September - We’re celebrating the amazing 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program! Sign up or turn in a log anytime this month to receive a small snack to enjoy while you read. This program is open to kids that haven’t entered kindergarten yet.
Month Long Drop In Events at the Sweetwater County Library
Reading Dragons Fall Kickoff: Celebrate the start of Reading Dragons with a hunt for new mythical creatures. Reading Dragons & Friends is an incentive program for Grades K-12th that rewards reading with collectable cards. Get started by signing up at the library!
Side Quests: Complete a quest and collect a prize. This activity is for ALL ages.
Anytime Activities: There’s always something fun to do in the Teen Space! Complete the bubble dispenser challenges for candy and enjoy crafts and activities each month. For 6-12th graders.
Month Long Drop in Events at the Rock Springs Library
Quests: Are you ready for an adventure? Join us each week for a Quest that will send you to the farthest reaches of the library, or possibly the non-fiction section.
Coloring Contest: Calling all artists! We need some color on our walls. Will you help? Pick up a coloring sheet anytime the library is open and bring it back by the end of the month for a chance to win a fun prize!
Leaf Luminary Kits: Available September 15 Until Gone - Make a leaf luminary to bring some extra light to your days as the nights get longer heading into winter. Luminary kits will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Fish Tank: Our fish tank is ready to go back to school! Can you find all the back to school items we’ve hidden inside it?
Bookmark: Stencil a bookmark to hold your place this September.
Pencil Topper: Create a little friend to help you with your schoolwork.
Guessing Jar: Guess how many Fruit Loops are in the jar for a chance to win a prize.
Just Curious Board: Stop in to answer questions our librarians are curious about.
Checkouts: Let's see how many people use our library. Place a sticker on our chart each time you come to the library this month. Place two if you checked out an item.
October Art Display: We will be preparing to fill our Art Gallery with patron art in October. Stop in to see what we are planning.
Teen Take Home: Available September 8 Until Gone - Stop in and grab a kit to make a candle at home. Limited to 20 kits. For teens 13-18 years old.
What Could This Be?: Check out our wall of possibilities and see how many different things you can think of that the shapes and objects could be. Share your thoughts and get a prize!
Garden Palooza: Share a picture of your garden from this year for our wall and be entered to win an in-ground vermicomposting system!
