Posted on January 25, 2013 by White Mountain Library
Start the year toxin free. Learn how on Thursday, January 31 at 7 p.m. at the White Mountain Library as the Rock Springs Holistic Health Group presents “Detox and Renew.”
According to the Rock Springs Holistic Health Group, people live, eat and breathe toxins every day! When overwhelmed by toxins our body cannot properly perform its many functions, ie. metabolism, immunity, elimination of waste, absorption of nutrients, etc. Toxicity has many forms and is commonly defined as unwanted chemicals people are exposed to through food, water, and the environment. There is a way, however, for the body to be restored to balance: cleansing.
In recent years, cleansing the body has become popular with many different cleansing methods available. The form of cleansing most people are familiar with is periodic cleansing, which is generally done three to four times a year. While periodic cleansing can be appropriate at times, it can also be difficult, and is often void of proper nutrion. Thursday’s program will focus on safe and gentle ways a person can cleanse and detox that can be done on a daily basis.
During the program, three specific natural cleansing methods will be introduced: how to reduce toxic exposure, how to provide daily nutrional support and how to provide focused nutrition for cleansing organs.
Cleansing in a healthy way brings many benefits to the human body. It supports the body’s ability to detoxify and eliminates harmful micro-organisms and waste. Combined with the reduction of certain foods and proper nutrion, blood sugar levels as well as important chemicals like neorotransmitters and hormones can be balanced. Most of all it helps a person take control of their appetite and mindset.
